What is the true nature of any living form? In True Nature cut-paper artist Maude White explores the secret places where fantasy and reality meet. These delicate cut paper creations endeavor to present the sometimes fine balance between desire and yearning, delicacy and strength. The closer one comes to something the more one gains and the more one loses. Perspective brings enlightenment but also confusion. We see what we want to see. We see what we do not want to see. True Nature invites the viewer into a space where what we desire intersects with what is present and true in the world around us. |
