Realistic Decorative Bird Carvings

Mark believes there is something mystical and magical about owls. Creating something out of a block of wood which people want to touch the feathers to see how soft they are, if they are real, seems somewhat magical as well.

Each of my carvings is handmade and therefore unique. No two carving are alike. My Carvings are Carved out of Tupelo, Painted with Acrylics, have Glass Eyes, and usual perched on a unique piece of Driftwood. Creating a unique piece of art which would make a wonderful gift.

Studying Owls in the wild and taking pictures of them is quite an adventure and helps so much with my carvings. Photographing Owls lets me see them in their natural setting. Often heard at night but rarely seen, they’re very elusive. I feel blessed every time I get to see one.
