Artist Reception will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 3-5pm. The public is welcome!
Elizabeth Phillips is an artist who works in the medium of photography, oil paint, and sticks and stones.
Phillip’s abstract series “Ledges” are made from found objects she uses to represent landscapes and people. “ My Ledges series is really about the relationships between people and the emotions involved. My intent is to invoke a feeling through the artwork. A tilt of the head, a lean against another, teetering on rock ledges,” said Phillips. “The series represents the safety and need for each other in this sometimes cruel world.”
Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with a concentration in photography from SUNY Albany. She owns and operates a photography business and teaches oil painting classes, trained under artist Wilson Bickford. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Art Education. “I hope my artwork connects with people and makes them pause and appreciate the love in their lives,” said Phillips.
