March 15, 2024 - May 6, 2024

Artist reception will be held March 16, 3:00-5:00.  The public is welcome!

I have had a passion for art since my childhood, with a focus on ink wash painting and watercolor in recent years. I live in upstate New York, in a quiet suburban area of Schenectady County, where I enjoy gardening and love to travel. The beauty of nature is my favorite subject.
I am interested in capturing the character and essence of the subjects, and I like to use simple forms, limited color, and empty space to do so. The beauty and resilience of nature are inspiring and provide me with a lot of joy.
I prefer to use rice paper for my brush painting due to its unique texture and moisturizing properties. It can produce diverse and unpredictable blurring effects, even with the same color, resulting in a challenging yet exciting artistic experience.
