I am an artist  working in metals, wood and stone. I joined Valley Artisans shortly after it was founded.  After teaching art for many years, I retired to devote myself full time to sculpture. I now divide my time between my studios in New York and Vermont, and I have been in many shows and won numerous awards in both places.

Creating three dimensional art is a challenge. Some decisions are instinctive and others are conscious choices to make all the views hold together as a unit. I like the tactile quality of sculpture, the ability to touch or move the parts. My works can be whimsical, humorous, emotional or purely abstract. Weldings are composed of antique objects and scrap metal from various places, including generous neighbors. I work in relief as well as in the round. Some welded pieces are painted with enamel color and can be exhibited outdoors as well as indoors.

My latest endeavour has been in creating sculpted jewelry that is both wearable or can be hung on the wall as an art piece.

Most recently I exhibited my work at the Equinox Valley Gallery in Manchester. My work will be there until September 16th.
