I am a retired art educator and spent the last 35 years living and working in Florida. I was raised in Bergen County NJ, and attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, Ramapo College in NJ and the University of North Florida. After taking care of my aging mother for several years, I took jeweler workshops at the William Holland Lapidary School and the National Gem and Mineral Society.
As a young child I watched my father weld, solder, cut, torch and bend copper in his studio to create unique and interesting designs. I didn’t realize it at the time, but after creating my first piece of jewelry I knew I had absorbed my father’s desire and passion for working with metals.
I feel lucky to be living on a meadow in Vermont with my husband, dog and extended family. I believe that my new paintings and jewelry designs have been inspired by the nature that surrounds me.
